In North Carolina, the COVID-19 rate has been going down a
little over the last few days. We are very thankful. We're
still in phase 2, and it was extended into early September.
Hi Carolyn, that sounds like good news. Hopefully will be able to open back up to phase 2 or I mean phase 3 by September will see. Our numbers are going down and up and up and down and down and up and up and down around here. But the good news is is we have a lot more recoveries as well.

That’s good. It needs everyone to go on behaving themselves. We have one more week or shielding and then we will be going out to our next village. A bit scary but good as we both need our hair cut and I need some blood work done. Love emma

Right now, ours are going down some. Still, as long as
people are getting it, it is by no means gone.

Oh wow, you're lucky. We probably won't get out of this mess until September or possibly even October.

Hi Joseph,
I got a call today telling me that one of my friends was admitted to the
hospital with Covid 19. She is a little younger than me and I hope she will
be okay.

Jim and I saw on TV this morning that the first cruise ship
that went out ended up coming back with six cases of
COVID-19. Who, in their right mind, would get on a cruise
ship right now?

No they don’t. We have big counties here. The one we live in is called Powys which is very long and thin and runs down the whole length of the boarder between England and Wales. It used to be several different counties but they put it all in to one. It takes about two and a half hours to drive from one end to the other. The next village is nine miles away. We have one four miles away but that only has a petrol station in it as we lost our little primary school this year. It does have a lovely old church but I think that is going to close too. The next village is where the secondary school is. That is for children from eleven to eighteen and there is a welsh and English stream. There is also a post office, bakery, a few small shops and a couple of hair dressers and the doctors. That is called Llanfier. Our nearest. Ig town is Welshpool and that is seventeen miles away but it only takes about half an hour to drive. There are some banks, a very small cottage hospital and several supermarkets there. That is also where I go to the gym in normal times and it looks like ti might not be too long before I’ll be able to go back. The big hospital is across the boarder in England in Shrewsb dry about an hour and a quarter away so we all raise money for the air imbalance and rely on that in real emergencies. I know your state is huge. I guess this all seems very small to you. Love emma
