What a Sunday in Sanford, NC!

First thing, I got shower and worked on hair. It is getting
so long, that it doesn't do as well as it has been.

Then, I had the wrong access code number for my church
service, so settled for a good local one on TV

This afternoon, Jim wanted to know if I wanted to go
walking, and I did. It was 73 out there with bright
sunshine, but when we got out there, was it ever windy. We
could smell barbecuing somewhere. I sure wished I could have
had some.

As we came up the hill, turned and started toward the
bridge, we heard these loud voices and stopped. I told Jim
we ought to get out, someone might start shooting. A runner
came down the other side. Jim asked him what was going on,
and he said, "some kind of argument. Then, Jim looked again
and saw a police car. Jim saw one of our neighbors, who has
a four wheeler down there. I said we needed to get out. You
just can't tell when some hot head is going to start
shooting.

So, we walked through and around the apartments. Dead as a
doornail. Nothing moving outside other than trees in the
wind. We could smell barbecue everywhere we went.

Before coming back home, Jim wanted to take another peek.
There were two police cars. Still, I was reluctant. You just
never know what people are going to do. As we started back,
I asked Jim if he thought I should call Billy, since it was
fairly near the church. He saw no point, since it was around
the corner, but he did say that Steve, the guy across from
the church that has the three dogs that we like (like dogs
and Steve) was out there. I said we could find out from
Steve eventually what went down. Then another police car
came, so I wondered if there was someone dead down there.
Jim will try to analyze. Me - just one more thing I don't
know the truth about and cannot fix or change.

I called Brenda and thanked her for the delicious cake. It
was strawberry, cocanut, and pecan; it had apple sauce in it
too. It was moist and delicious. She loves to bake and is
good at it. Usually, if we're good at something, we like it,
and if we like something we're more likely to be good at it.

Carolyn, I know I replied to you on the other list. But it sounds like you had such a great time today walking other than the commotion that was going on down the way. I hope everything is OK for sure. And none of your friends were involved. Secondly, why don't you ask Jim to do your hair, and then asked one of the ladies to come over and look at his job once he gets it all done and another group that I'm on for echo devices, has a friend subgroup. And one of the people on the group had their hair done by their husband which is blind and they posted a picture of it on Facebook and her mother commented and said it turned out great. Which I was surprised. He did it with a Swiss Army knife.
